Do you knit? Crochet? Braid?

then listen up.

Start with plastic bags

LOTS

just think how many you save from our waterways 

Fold them flat with the side pleats tucked in

Then take your old beautiful scissors that SOMEONE cut paper and stuff with 

WE WONT MENTION ANY NAMES

.....

and cut strips ABOUT 1.5 to 2 inches wide

No need to be precise

It will make loops of plastic bag

See the bottom that was sealed and the top handles,? Throw those away

Now you have plastic loops

Heres the fun part

Trash bags and shopping bags can come in cool colors too.....to make a pattern

I KNOW.....RIGHT?

YOU place one loop into another and pull it to attach

Loop intertwined

Pull gingerly

Voila. Plastic yarn ready to wind and use.

Like this.makes a small knotlike and a loop

Then scrunch it together as if the loop was one single strand and make a "plarn" ball

Plarn = plastic yarn

Then Knit, crochet or use whatever method you would use with yarn and make a bag using HUGE  needles

Easy

Peasy

And the best part is 

You can get the person who ruined your most favorite scissors in the world to do this for you.

A punishment if you will

They will have so much fun doing it they won't even know it is punishment. 

Really!

No bags? No problem

Make new friends in the neighborhood

People are always looking to recycle them

And you can take them off their hands

OR

you COULD  go shopping.......

4 hours after you go to bed........Ughhhhhh 

I didnt have shower favor ingredients ...

I didnt feel like painting....

So what's a girl to do ?

CHASE SQUIRRELS AND MAKE AN ACORN 

now I need lights which will need to be cut

And then another acorn for the other end

And a cute runner will be born

I love my 2.5 squares already cut and ready to sew 

My container didnt look like I had any browns but it did......

Browns and beiges and even some yellows made it in there

I then played with teeny strips that were headed for the trash

Hmmmm

Maybe a cute little pincushion

MEANWHILE

So looks like a roadtrip first

My days lately have involved this "sewing machine"

I will be playing with rolls and rolls of cellophane this weekend

Once niece brings me the labels

So at 1 am I saw these 1.5 squares

And these 2.5 squares

And decided to play 

You got somethin to say about it???

Ha ha

When looking to work on my thankful project this owl hooted.

Its HUMP DAY

He wanted to be looked at 

I tried to finish him but he belongs to a group of 4 that I need backing for .........so I moved on

Dunks as always was very helpful

I then spied this.

Hmmmmm

If I use 2.5 squares and hst 

This would come out 20 inches

A perfect width for a runner 

Noooooooooo

I need to finish my thankful runner

If I Can make my way to my room

Maneuvering around boxes of flowers 

And wayward pumpkins

And favor parts and bits

And dont forget my overflowing 

Christmas box.

Good thing huh?

Not many of my projects are getting done these days 

Almost over......the shower is the Sat after Labor Day

Hope I get a breather in between.

Two more of these needed to be done 

So purty and fun

Then i had 28 favors to make

My niece went nuts with stuff. 

Heart dish with leaves and pumpkin candle

And bottle of wine

Key that opens bottles 

And labels that say love is the key to happiness

THEN i have to wrap them in cellophane

And add a thankyou sticker

They are now done to this point while niece prints the stickers

See? Boxes of them 

And since the gluegun was out.......

I glued heads on my angels

They need hair and  makeup next

Lol

In this case it stands for the brides new last name. 

Her maid of honor, sis, wants me, Auntie

To cover this in flowers so she can use it to decorate

First I had to paint it black

And not handle any white pumpkins

Now I need to finish the pumpkins

And take small leftover flowers 

And make it purty 

Trouble is the flowers are NOT small

But I may take some apart

And use the petals 

They need to match coloring in these

In the meantime

Back at the ranch

These trees need to be trimmed  and shaped

This knitting needs to be finished

These towels need some applique 

Yeah

Sleep is overrated

Working 9.5 hr days too.
