This green quilt is all 5 inch green squares

Very Christmassy

I may try and find muslin for the back and straight quilt it up

It needs sashing and putting together.

I love it even though the blocks are tiny

Wedding quilt take one

This is a test

To see how my blocks will look for nieces signature quilt at wedding

I am using muslin though and no green

Just reds,oranges,  blacks and grays if i can find in the stash 

I will sew groups of 4

Or this times two

Then 4 people can sign at a table

I have till Sat

Think i can cut and sew 100 of these up?

A little retail therapy and progress

Our keurig is acting up. It shuts itself off all the time so I went to the collection of giftcards to see what we had.

We had a big one American Express so I went shopping.  

Got  a new Keurig,  new toaster,  some baskets for my gifts, muslin for signature quilt, pigma pens to sign, a jellyroll in Fall colors 

Plus 3 quilt magazines too!

Not a bad haul eh?  Cost me 20 bucks

And i had a gift card for dinner 

Love it!

I got 5 of these for the guys at work and the park maintenance guy

Snacks and goodies will go in these

I got this one for my new boss

She will get a table runner and some goodies

3 of these for my brothers

A nice haul. Of course most people use the gift cards as soon as they get them on something they want.

I am blessed. I want nothing. I have enough fabric and supplies to last me into my 90s lol

How much stuff can one own?

I also couldnt sleep so was up at one.

But I was productive

The red and Fall toppers will be for my neighbor for Christmas.she is always helping us or checking on something for us. I appreciate her very much

She has a yellow kitchen so the Fall one can be reversible and take her from everyday to fall and the red one for Christmas

I like it with the red and white stripe binding. Wish I had enough for bias binding but will settle for this

The fox are ready to visit the cabin in Maine 

So more gifts moved along......

Natures beauty and a winner

This is near where I live. Taken from inside the car

Beautiful reds and oranges and golds 

God is certainly the master creator

As you can see some trees are already bare letting us know that winter is just around the corner

On the sewing front,  this is quilted and bound and in the gift box 

Now to find my red and white stripe and finish the red one.

The fox are hanging around for one lil fella that needs binding.....then they will be ready for their soon journey to Maine

A little sewing going on

Ever have one  of those mornings where nothing goes right?

Went to sew....forgot out of bobbins 

Started making bobbins.......used up all thread

Looked for more white thread.....have none

You get the gist?

I was determined to not let it stop me

I have not sewn in so long!

So i found a spool of another color and threaded the machine 

Grabbed the binding and sewed one fox

Grabbed some 2.5 greens

You know greens are good for the diet right?

Who said I had to eat them?

Made the required number of squares to finish the back piece for the tree

Yay!  Something moved further along

And No Colette......i had to keep the deer away from the greens for now

The eat everything in sight

The fox need to be a barrier there.....

But the deer will be back

I am sure of it

It is pouring rain out right now 

Feel like staying home and sewing but that is not an option so better get goin

Making a list

I found this partially done. My rows are together but i need the black sashing in between. Then pick a border and back and quilt er up

This is on the  immediate list

Great neighbor gift with the red towel for the oven

And sis in laws placemats

Once back is cut and quilted this will be just binding

An hoping after I wind a zillion bobbins I can move these along.

Hemming 101

This guy is always attached to my hip

Love him to pieces

Today I got up early as I couldnt sleep 

And I ironed clothes 

I cut up some of those quilt show pieces and put them into the proper containers 

When I got bored i said to myself...get those pants hemmed

I tried them on inside out

And marked with a pin where i wanted the hem

I then got out my tape measure and my measurement was 3 inches. So i pinned it up 3 inches all the way around.

It already has a hem so i cut that off 

Turned up the new edge and pinned. 

As I was sewing someone was very interested in my thread 

I hope he paid attention so he can sew up the next pair!

After the flower flurry

I got a new haircut. She cuts me short so I figure for the wedding in 2 weeks it will be a tad longer lol

Never mind the chubby cheeks and bad skin. The tape from the eye bandaging at night leaves me with bad skin. The glue is hard to cone come off and I am not supposed to scrub hard till they determine my retina is safe

Lookie here. Dunkin bought this.  I guess he is gonna have his own project this winter.

(Or fingers crossed maybe he got it for his mama)

Connecting threads had them on sale as did fat quarter shop

This is the wedding flower overflow 

Told the niece we should make up some pumpkins to sell to recoup our money

Oh my forgot about this gem. Into the container you go. This is a leader ender with 1.5 squares and 2.5 white charms
