I started making this runner for the giftbox

I tried pizza on the grill from dough.Yummy

It was a busy month making pouches

Cleaning up

And taking care of the garden

Shopping trip

Remember how i tell you that I look all year round for fun things for my giftbox?

I needed birdseed.......200 dollars later.....LOL

i had the best shopping trip

These cuties reminded me that my 9 year old great nephew, the one we had the birthday parade for, Likes to cook

And hunt 

How perfect is this spatula set for him

And this pan looked fun

For 2 bucks

Yes i said 2 bucks i got one for me and one for him

Even gives you recipe for peanut butter cookies

And jello jigglers kit with animal cutters

For under 10 bucks i found 3 things to keep him cooking

I love that he loves to cook.

He has cooked for his family dinners out on the grill

Called his mimi to get advise as he cooked steak and made a salad with freshly made dressing

Yeah he is 9

His mother said it was delicious.he even served it on special plates to make it a pretty presentation 

I think we have a chef in the family......

Hoping this unexpected surprise will make him smile

And maybe i will get some quarantine cookies

Yesterday I learned that the sweetie on the left in this pic passed away unexpectedly.

I am not sure what happened.she is a cousin from Canada

I remember in 2016 when we were having our family reunion she made homemade pizzas for it. I was amazed and said to her you can just bring a case of water as you are travelling far. She said nope she was staying at her brothers house and would bring pizza.

It was delicious and such a treat

We had so much fun catching up with her and playing games

Here she is sitting with one of her

God took you home Paulette because he needed your sweetness in Heaven.

Rest in peace until we meet again 

Is it wrong to have ice cream for breakfast?

I say NO

LIFE IS TOO SHORT

My new to do list

Since we spiffed up things a bit now I need

To clean and paint this wishing well that Dad made

My biggest issue was what color?

Thinking some sort of combo  with white gray and black maybe 

Gotta decide and do it

Gotta revisit my farmgirl blocks and add some of these from the new book I got 

Love that truck!

This guy has been more clingy than normal

Even petting him results in this

Love him to pieces but need a little space sometimes

I think when i was home from work he liked that and now isnt happy I go

Christmas in july

While the garden is producing

Great food for us.....

I am thinking of Christmas in July.

Like gathering ideas....one for each of the 31 days

And put them in my giftbox.

My quilting is way behind so I may as well do some productive sewing

Normally by this time I am assessing my gift box to see what I may want to work on

This year I MAnaged a few zip bags and towels. And some are given away already

I DID find this in my room

I had bought at the end of the season because I have a niece who like me is a red truck lover . A table runner

Yes it will match my winter decor of buffalo plaid

I opened it to take a peek 

Hmmm its a panel that i need to cut apart

And reframe into the runner

Cool

It all comes folded up like this 

I will have to make this and put it in the gift box

Dont worry about me stealing it.....

July is coming up and I am thinking Christmas in July ideas.....

Pizza on the grill

Doesn't this look good?

I usually make it a little thinner crust but the heat and dough just rose up

It was sooooo good

It is made with wheat dough I got at grocery store

You could make your own in a bread maker 

If you have never tried it you have to 

Only a few rules

1. Grill must be 500 and hot

2. Dough must be well oiled so it doesnt stick

Some people oil the grill grates before heating

3 your ingredients must be ready to go

Toppings need to be precooked

I precooked peppers and onion

Rich had sausage

I put my grill cover down till it reached 500

I had my sauce, cheese and toppings ready near grill

I grabbed my raw dough. Stretched a rough circle  of the oiled dough coating it with my oiled hands

Plopped it in the grill and shut the cover 

After a minute i checked on it

See if the bottom is cooked

Once it is cooked, its ready to flip 

Add sauce and toppings

And cheese and i picked fresh basil behind me in the garden

Shut the top again and once cheese is melted it is ready

Yum

Quick easy delicious dinner

I paid 2 bucks for my dough

Got sauce and mozzarella 

Easy peasy.

I still have dough to make another tonight

Ooooo wish i had taco leftovers

I love a good taco pizza

My sis in law sets up a table of toppings

And her family and friends make their own pizza

Its quick

2 can be done at once

Everyone gets their fav

Easy dinner

Have you tried it on your grill?

Around here lazy and slow

Not sure if you can see

But thru the screen I saw what Dunkin was mesmerized with

2 squirrels under the bird feeder

They scared the birds and the birds tipped the feeder jumping off so squirrels are happy they now have seed

Necessity is the mother of invention I guess 

Found this strawberry runner at last 

Now to finish it and the pineapples as I need the same black and white check borders on both 

This is a table topper that Dunks likes to use as a quilt when he watches me sew.

Found this slate I painted in 1996

24 years ago YIKES

It was for my mother in law who loved cardinals

I copied from a card she had and liked

It went near the well in front

And Richs contribution was the 3 flags

Looks better with something in there

The furniture in the screenroom

Got washed down

Artificial flowers got put out for some cheerful vibes 

New shades were installed 

And a lilly, rose and hyacinths were planted on the bare side of the garden

Both Rich and i worked all day  doing it

But I am happy

It looks nice and we can enjoy the area
