Oh we need a little Christmas.....

Rifling through more fabrics i found this beautiful Christmas panel.

And some coordinating fabric

I think i see another little gift soon.

We will see with all thats in progress at the moment

So i think i have the beginnings of another pretty top

I found panels I forgot I had 

If i can get daughter and granddaughter done then grandsons will be giftcards as they are 17 and 18 and live out of state

Trying to get families done. I may need to rethink my methods ha ha

This one I finished for me.

I want to put up some small little quilts in my sewing room  for inspiration

I have a couple done and will add to my collection over time

They are under 36 inches as my room is tiny

Hope the maker is happy it is in a finished project

This was from a day of playing in the 2.5 squares

I made a table topper by just grabbing and sewing

Then I quilted it on the diagonal both ways

And pulled fabric for binding

It was so fun i made a blue one....

Another multicolor one

And Christmas colors with black one

If I can find that bolt of muslin i will be able to back and quilt them all

Then have a marathon binding day

And get em all done.

Thinking they will be good for my pay it forward 12 days of Christmas where i live...

I have a red runner and 4 other scrappy ones done already

With these 4 that makes 9

And maybe i can whip out 3 of those small hexy tree table toppers

We will see......

Today marks 30 years my Mom is gone.

I miss her every day

But every year at this time in my garden

She says hi with this beautiful display

Look how many blooms on this

AND a new start

See how they grew in the middle of another plant?

Some just need binding

Some need to be quilted 

Some need to be sewn 

Need to find more greens and cut out more

Maybe an extra or two for fun

In july i was productive......

Small tree topper done

All the 12 days gifts done in jackies challenge......

Tote and zippy bag set, dishcloth, etc

Another table topper done and 3 more in works

Another tree cut out

Hope i can keep up in August

I know my nieces all asked for help so the next few weeks will be crazy

Diaper cake and bridal shower and bridal flowers all need to be done

Wish me luck. I need more hours in a day

You can see how pretty these will be as placemats

There are 2 facing left and 2 facing right

And then the alternate meaning the 2 facing left there are mirror images facing right

So it makes a set of 8

Thinking my sis in law will love these. 

Now to get some muslin backs and get them

Now the question.

Borders blue? Gray??

I am leaning toward a blueish gray color that has little pops of red

8 placemats for sis in law and she will be done

Gonna try and tie granddaughters quilt and get that done

But they are talking  a different story

They started as fussy cuts

I went to Jacky s to see what she had been working on.

When I arrived she was singing

And some chimpanzees 

Cats  and rats and elephants 

As sure as you're born 

But the lovliest of them all 

Is the unicorn.

Why?

Heck if I know.....

Remember......she talks to Turkeys 

She wanted me to be friends

So I looked the unicorn directly in the eye

That horn is very sharp you know. 

And then it kissed my ear

It tickled

And made

Me

Laugh 

I gave it a hug and it hugged me back

I think it just wanted to feel loved

I think it liked me.

It kept getting too close 

Then Jackie told me to get on my unicorn

And leave

This inspiration came from the web.

Someone made this all of 1.5 squares and each block is 8 inches and made with solid color and scraps. 

I really like it so it may be a future quilt 

I need to get some green binding made

And finish more little mugrugs and projects
