Pouches

Another cute dog flannel and a grassy print for the inside

Love making these little pouches

For the hockey fans

And the larger one of the other dog print 

These 3 were cut, quilted and sewed within an hour

I think i now have 6 pouches

I will continue making them

To give away in a basket in our mailroom

Maybe as a valentine treat

We will see

I found more small quilts that i can maybe add borders and make a wheelchair quilt or leg warmer

I may need to buy anither roll of batting

Funny how fast you can use it up

Jan so far

This so far is what I have finished in January

3 small quilrs, 2 hats, dishcloth, 3 zip bags,

2 bibs, 3 mugrugs,

And not sure if i forgot anything

A good start........

With more in the works

Traffic jam is a flimsy and some runners are being looked at to be finished

I am a happy girl
     

 

2 more in the gift box

This cute flannel piece was in my stash

So i made 2 zip bags.and have a 3rd one cut

And ready to sew

So much fun. 

I mean look at this face

There are a lot of dog walkers in my park that would like a cute surprise when they get their mail

I also have scraps of hockey and football and baseball scraps

I will clean them out by making zip bags

A cute surprise basket full would be fun.

I need to make some pouches And tuck them away

I also have strips of football and baseball  fabrics too that would make nice pouches

Now where are those zippers i had to buy by the dozen???

Fri scariness

This little one had us scared on Friday

She was doe Feb 13

But decided she didnt want to be a Valentine baby 

So we were on pins and needles till she was born making sure Mom and baby were fine

They are and we love this cutiepie already

This will be one unit of traffic jam

I figured 

 if i match the sashing to each block its less in the end

Theses will go in the middle

And these blocks on the ends

Makes the rows easier to tackle

I may even sew them up in chunks

As long as i dont turn them.......

For 2 bucks

They begged to come home with me

Because at home i found these

From a half off sale

And i never made the pillows

The fox had 2. One front and one back

The other fall pumpkin may be for me

They had a leaf one for the back

I am thinking  of sewing them partially

And stuffing 

Or should i try to find  different backs and make them envelope style?

I really like them and  for 2 bucks i will buy polyfill if i have to

I want to find this lap quilt and maybe puece some blues to finish it

It was fun to make

And i need to get it quilted

It is a nice couch quilt for us

My living room is blue

Hopefully between traffic jam and this i will have a finish soon

 

More traffic

I guess maybe i am in more traffic than others?

But i am kinda liking this layout

It all started when i came across a tin of 4 patches

All scrappy and fun

And i thought what if i use them as sash ?

I kinda lose the block but i guess i like the symmetry it brings to the scrappy chaos

It brings it i think to a good lap size

And if i want i can make a 4 patch border too

What do you think?

 

Lots of progress so far

Two baby quilts

I had one top pieced

Then found a back and looked for more charms

Made a 2nd top, backed, quilted and bound

One bound in green, one in pink

Two different baby families

I am happy with the outcome

The booger fought me for them

I kid you not!

Progress in January so far

I am happy to get these done 

I may need a runner day soon

I have pineapple, strawberry, truck with black jenny runner, another kit red truck runner

And who know what else lurking in my room 

I find that when i get them all into tops then get all quilted then bind assembly line style i do better 

I think its the instant gratification of many done at once

I play tricks in my head to keep motivated

A little progress

I found the tin containing these

I used 5 inch squares of light and blues

Drew diagonal and sewed on each side of the line

I have many more to make so now can get some ready to sew mindlessly

These were found during cleanup.

When i thought we were buying the park i was making one for everyone as a celebration gift

Jar openers

Here are 14 of the ones i had cut out

I have a few more that need the rubber backing and to be sewn up

Another little project finished.

So far in January i completed a quilt for Dunkin, bound 2 mugrugs, crocheted 2 hats and finished 14 jar openers. Why cant i do this the whole 12 months of the year? Lol

Because that left no waste for the roll of rubber shelf lining

I get it at the dollar tree

A roll makes at least 10 i think 

And scraps? Hmmm those  are hard to find right?

All same cornerstone color

Is this good? Maybe all same color cornerstones?

Not sure what it needs

More unity?

More contrast?

Being scrappy no matter what color i use i think the sash will blend somewhere

Should i set differently?

On point?

alternate with different blocks?

Just sew these without sash and then border?

Or should i just get out the rotary cutter?

I am not sure why but nothing seems to jump at me

I was thinking of 2.5 wide with cornerstones

Maybe too wide?

I want to get this top outta the pile

I have 12 blocks each will finish at 12 inches

I just need to make a lap quilt

I dont mind adding borders  being scrappy anything should go

What would you do?????
