Snuck out with niece

Well a niece came over with my Christmas gift and we scooted for an hour to Joannes 

We made sure hubs was settled and had 2 phones

Our Joannes is 10 min away

So I found the 12x16 forms 

30 percent off

Plus niece had coupons saving me enough to buy her 3 books

And cut some blades

This template for 2.5 squares

Sewed em up quick

Pulled a j out of the 2.5 bin

I still need a row of lights under but you get the idea

This time I may just do binding

And no border

We will see

Slate coasters

I tried to paint a pair of cardinals on slate coasters

Earlier in the year 

At Wal-Mart I found one package of 2 coasters

And grabbed them

Here is the male cardinal

I need to tweak my painting a little but not too bad

I wish I had more coasters

Need to find a large slate and paint up something I think sis in law would like

So far tried making hen magnets, cardinal magnet and a santa rock to hide

Onto the slate maybe next?
