I have tons of string blocks cut 5 inches
And sewed them into rows alternating direction
Got 3 to 4 rows sewn and grabbed more strings
Sewed a few
Wide, narrow, crooked. It's all good.i will iron them once I get a bunch and cut them 5 inches
Then when I have a bunch more will make rows
Another easy no think sewing project
In keeping with the old fashioned look I may even tie it
We will see
String sewing is fun--nice to get a UFO moving again...I like the alternate placement you are using...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteMindless sewing that results in nice blocks is a WIN!
ReplyDeleteI love those mindless projects. They use lots of stash and are fun to make!
ReplyDeleteI have string piecing for a quilt. It is taking me forever. Perhaps it is because the strings are all gray, and I don't have that many strings that color.
ReplyDelete🌳 Your quilt reminds me of some of the quilts my Granny Ruff made. She made Raggedy Ann & Raggedy Andy 'Dolls' & Clown 'Dolls' too. Your quilt is very nice! 🐦🌸
