Thinking of my buddy today

Hubs birthday is today

And plant manager is celebrating 25 years of marriage

Think I can wrap up some zuchinni for Rich?

Lol

After all taking care of it is keeping me busy for sure

Maybe make a zuchinni bread

His favorite instead of a birthday cake

Still plugging away at baby things

Just call me burp cloth central at the moment 

Lol

Burp cloth central can I take your order?

I have woodland animals and florals and polka dots so far 

Gotta finish up the quilts and other things to make my gift bundles

Thinking a nice diaper bag stuffed with quilt, burp cloths, wipes in wipe holder, bibs

Maybe a pkg diapers and outfit change would be nice

Will see what I can come up with

I also have in process a carrier cover in this pigpen of a sewing room

It covers the car carrier to shade baby from the sun and also germy people

Birthdays and babies and all kinds of life events happening

And August is almost here.

For our family that is the start of the crazy season

Birthdays every week just about all the way through Dec and that includes throwing in

Thanksgiving and Christmas plus two of the nieces have fall wedding anniversaries

Yeah

I am doomed 

Does zuchinni make an all purpose gift?

Or no

Love her patterns in both 6 inch and 12

And i can use some for my farmgirl quilt

While Dad drove

We had 5 kids so we got to lie down 

Back there and watch the treetops go by

If you were lucky enough to get the window seat lol

Well, i cut out one of these to make a gray and floral burpcloth

And a denim and blue plaid one

One for a girl and one for a boy. 

I have smaller pieces that I think will go into matching bibs

Now where is my bib pattern?????

Two cousins had new grandchildren birn this weekend

One a girl Emmerson Mae

And one a boy...Austin 

All are healthy and fine

And sooooooo adorable.

One is a new Mom and is over the moon with her baby boy. They had trouble conceiving and are on cloud nine

Lol

There are a few more in the ovens around our family so i gotta get crackin

Making a few baby things here and there 

Babies make the world seem right 

Although I worry what their world will look like

I suppose my parents and grandparents did too

She is such a sweetie

Look at all this goodness

And a laugh at the name on the selvage

My brother makes moonshine for himself so I may need to use this in a project for him

I know in these times it is harder to mail things and I appreciate it soooo much.

Theres finding a container to use, packing it up, oops wheres that roll of tape?, donning a mask,  going somewhere to send it off, paying an arm and a leg and your first born,  and hoping it arrives at your destination in one piece. I am tuckered out just thinking about it. And the worry of course of covid.

It arrived and I will be showing what I made hopefully soon.

I was watering my veggies and caught a glimpse of red. Hmmmm

where my lilac was last year

We must have never seen them because the lilac was huge

They made a mighty fine breakfast with my oatmeal and cinnamon 

We also have the hickory nuts that the squirrels are bouncing off the metal roof of my shed.

I laugh as it is right outside my bedroom window

I snuggle in and hear BAM

they try to crack them open that wsy

Good to know there is a little food around if we need it
