Making a list and checking it twice

I have to organize and prioritize projects

This is our crazy time of year
Everyone in our family is born from Aug to Feb right in the thick of things with holidays etc so I need to get cracking

And two of the nieces have fall wedding anniversaries too.
YIKES
anywho......

Gotta start knitting a little at night

Finishing up baby stuff

Assess what is in the gift box

And get this one done
Maybe for her birthday in Oct

We will see

Are you making plans?
Whats on your list to do?

Starting to collect

I am starting to collect fabric for my witches quilt

One niece and I will be making it

I need some blacks and grays now
So gotta comb the stash and see what i have

Forgot I had even ordered these
So long ago

This is really more burnt orange than a brown
But it goes well for pumpkin contrast

Are you gearing up for Fall projects???
What are you planning on working on?

I think he is tired of social distancing

This guy is so funny
He HAS to be near me or touching me

Just hanging out.....

Sleeping where I just got up from

Touching me as I try and wake up with a cuppa

See???? Every
Single
Day

It is like he is obsessed with touching me

Funny yet creepy too

Hubs thinks its because he was so tiny when we found him and I have been his Mom

You would think after 10 years he would know I am not going anywhere and neither is he
Love ya dude! Lol

How do I fix this

This quilt belongs to one of my nieces

It was made by my Mom who was her grandmother
She is in her 20s and wont part with it even in this bad shape

This was a baby duck

O

It was adorable but the fabric is so worn
And threadbare

And even holey in places

She wants to keep it and wants me to try and fix it
There is little batting left
Its a mess

Has anyone ever done quilt repairs?
Where do I start?
I was thinking of appliqueing the pieces that i can trying to find something of my Moms in my stash or something close
And maybe layering it on top of a batt and back and quilt it heavily to hold?

Help!!!!!
Anyone?????

Can I get this done?

Been busy this weekend making zuchinni bread for my baby brother

And a sugar free version for Rich
Was over 100 according to my thermometer yesterday.....outside

Ugh
Glad for the ac and baking early

After groceries and bread delivering today i am hoping to sew
We will see because truly a womans work is never done

Ironing is also a need for workclothes
Now if only Dunkin would put on his Merry maid outfit and get busy.......
Trying to find more quilting time

What you talkin bout?

This was Dunkins innocent face when I accused him of buying something online

Lately a package a day has been arriving
YIKES
sad part is they are so long in getting here I forgot I ordered them

Yeah this pattern WAS for JULY 4TH
I guess theres always next year right?

Good thing I have had a couple of overtime days to help pay for Dunkins internet habit

Slow progress

I found this flannel in the stash
A one yd piece of the elephant print
And pieces
I am thinking if i use one side but leave the 36 length i can get a blanket, bib and burpcloth out of it
Then use the gray and yellow to back it

This polka dot cotton was cute so i sewed up a bib
Just gotta iron and topstitch and velcro

Burp cloth to match just needs a back
Green would work or muslin even

This was 1.5 squares i had sewn a while ago
I found a pink gingham
Sliced it
Inserted the squares
Will iron and cut another cute bib

The internet has tons of free patterns

Found a yard of dog flannel for boy
And will see what i can get outta that

A hat to sew out of tee knit fabric
You tie a knot at top
How stinkin cute

Another hat. Would be adorable with flower sewn to outside

Found a couple of my moms patterns too

Getting there
Have a plan to cut the elephant set.
Then will have about 3 bibs
3 burp cloths
Blanket
Quilt
Washcloths
Socks
Another blanket unless it becomes back of one
Saw an adorable diaper bag in store to
pack it all in. Will just need change of clothes and my great granddaughter should be set
Unless i make some hats
And booties
And headbands
And.....lol

Then the next plan is assembly line bibs and burp cloths
That will make it easier once all are cut out to sew

I envisioned a bib of the month too lol
Jan a blue icy scene
Feb hearts
Mar shamrocks
Apr easter
May flowers
June maybe bugs
July red white blue
Aug sailing
Sept school or apple
Oct pumpkin
Nov turkey
Dec Christmas
How cute would that be?
Only problem would be making girl vs boy on some holidays
Hmmm a thought i may
Need to challenge myself with
I know i have shamrocks up the blarney in my stash for sure
Any ideas for cute baby things you have seen?
