The eyes have it

My Dr approved my surgery on my eye

My nurse has been hired

Now to get ready with water and things i wont be able to lift for a bit 

Getting the cars in shape

Gotta make a hair appointment 

Get a button down shirt  for surgery day

Make sure i have meals preplanned for a bit

And generally just get ready for the end of the month

I also want to walk a bit and get a little more fit

Crunch time here so not much sewing going on 

Thanks everyone for your well wishes and prayers that this eye has no issues

 

Hump day

I need to find or make time to finish this pillow

So close yet so far but i love it even with all the ripping out

When i got home from our long meeting this is what I saw when i turned around from taking off my jacket

He wanted me to know HE was mire important and missed me

Melts my heart

Mommy after all day at work then going out at night.....not fair 

And this is my homework

Distribute to those not in attendance and see if i can get others to join

May need to do some this weekend at the garage with car

I have to wait so may as well keep busy right?

For dr to approve eye

For eye surgeon office 

To distribute and collect for park 

At work because i will be out and they are already freaking out giving me stuff to set up so we can be ahead of the game

Ok ok........i am crying UNCLE already!!!!!

 

Mindless sewing

Tonight we vote on who will be directors for our park

I wonder if anyone will step up

In the meantime these leftovers were trimmed to 2.5 and sewn together

He only has more of my quilts than i do

 

A good stash

After all day making apple jam and apple spice rings i now have almost 4 dozen jars total of canning this year

Blueberry jam, strawberry rhubarb jam, pineapple jam, dilly beans 

Caramel apple jam, spiced apple rings

Yum

I need to do a few more pineapple and maybe blueberry apple or as our family calls it blapple jam.

I want to make at least one batch of relish too. Maybe next weekend

The good the bad and the ugly

 With all going on around here,  there is some good

The plumber came and fixed our leak for 150 bucks.it was something minor which is good. We were thinking all new vanity and pipes underneath.

The bad is we got the new dryer. One problem....it makes a loud obnoxious noise when the cycle has 5 min to go and when its done. Dunkin runs and it scares us all. There is no way to stop it. Ugh

So now i need to run to the dryer before that stupid buzzer. I guess i will be fit as a fiddle running,  right?

I only need a row of 2.5 squares to be a good size i think

As for the ugly, that is the world right now

So much negativity 

So much lawlessness

Nobody being nice or responsible

All for themselves

Doesnt anyone remember the seven deadly sins?

Envy

Lust

Gluttony

Greed

Pride

Sloth

Wrath

I see more and more of these behaviors as normal now which scares me.

What have we become? We need to rope ourselves in and think before we speak and act 

I am sad to imagine the world my grandchildren will live in.

On a positive note, i will try my best to be a better person than i was yesterday and to take the Lords hand on this journey called life on Earth.

I think we need God now more than ever

Priorities and focus

When straightening up the pigpen sewing room,  i found this gem

A pattern for winter cozies

I love the fleece socks 

And hats 

And i also unearthed some fleece

I think its a sign to get some done

Its gonna be a cold winter

And with the purchase of the new dryer 

I want to make a quilted pad for the top to protect it from scratches and such

These were gonna be table toppers but if i put 2 together and add a row i think the size will work

They are mostly fall colors but thats ok

Its a utility quilt that needs to be useful and not just another pretty face

I think i will try and focus on these 2 projects
