Baby steps

Every night I try to do a few rows on this 

It's almost done

I really need to make more

Mine have seen better days for sure lol

This has grown quite a bit

I think this is the all red one

And this is the red and white one

But these are supposed to be paperwhites

Not looking promising 

But hey. Baby steps right?

My great niece who is one on the 22nd just learned she can walk a few steps

She is so funny too 

If she goes from mom to her brother she then claps yay for herself

So adorable

Maybe I should learn from her

No need for a marathon to get from here to there 

All in due time

But progress has been made at Dunkins house 

Yes his name is now on the deed per his request

Oldie but goodie

When my Mom passed in 1989 I inherited her stash and crafts

This pillow panel and some of these fabrics were in there

Fast forward to 2022

What 33 years later?

This little lap quilt will go to one of the Nieces with a label

I just need to find a backing and get er hand quilted up

Maybe the new great niece will use it for her

 dollys

My mom would love that

 

First finish of 2022

Remember that non thinking sewing I did?

I was trying to put them in blocks

Or surround them for a lap quilt but nothing was jumping out at me

Soooooooooo

I decided they were a perfect size for zippybags

I made 5 and have a front to another one

First project of 2022.......done

One charmpack out of the stash.....done

A good  start I think

This one is lined in red

A color I don't have much of

This one a pink floral

That is now gone too I think except for a small strip that will get cut into my squares bucket

And this one

A surprise interior

A fun fun day of sewing

I need to replenish my zippers as I had to pull other colors but all in all I am pleased

I think he works too hard lol

I grabbed crumbs sewed into pieces

Cut them with ten inch ruler 

And I have 6 so laid them out

Hmmmmm see that tail,?

Wonder who that is ha ha

He insisted on rearranging my layout

Time and time again 

Until I think I tuckered him out 

Couldn't you just squeeze him?

I can see this one scrappy for sure

I think the Dunks would laugh if I made him this 

He is not one for those things

I wish he was

These guys remind me of Jacky my buddy

In Feb she will b e gone a year

Doesn't seem possible

This is scrap inspiration and I would love to tame my strings

Especially after snow

Ugh

Anyone live in warmer climate where I can visit till winter is over??? Lol

 

New life

Has anyone used poster board and made these?

Batting glued on to make a board for blocks

I love it

Simple workhorse

I can place cut pieces in order and sew em up lickity  split keeping them in order

Not a neat back but it works

Hot glue is my friend lol

Found this fleece blanket on sale after are holiday s for brother

He has covid and it may cheer him up a bit

This covid stuff is not fun

New responsibilities

Soooooo excited as thIs is just a few days

This one is a little slower

But it's good

That just means when the first is done blooming this one will kick in right?

 

Some color and sewing

Decided to sew for an hr and pulled some color 

Reds and turquoise

Not sure what I will make yet

But it was steady therapeutic sewing

That made my heart happy
