2nd set started

as I wait to finish off the last few bibs for my great granddaughter,  i started the second set. here is Christmas, Jan snowmen
4th of July and March St Pats

My Nov bibs are cut with this brown and a feathery brown back. Now to perfect and sew on the turkey parts. I go back and forth liking, not liking the rusty body fabric.

I know the kid is gonna spit and puke on it right?  I dont want it too pastel looking but i needed the feathers to stand out from the background

I need to use the dresdan feathers with polkadots. I made 2 sets

Would you make another body or leave it???

Brotherly love

Went to my brothers house and he loaded me up with some veggies. Their garden is huge and my sister in law was canning tomatoes and begging me to take some
Dont have to twist my arm. I love tomato sandwiches so had one for lunch and one for dinner.
I mean look at these beauties.

My hand for reference to the size.  Yeah now that's a tomato!

A couple of peppers made it into my goodie bag too

A cucumber, zuchinni and summer squash as well. Oh my........good eatin from the farm

These guys were popped into my mouth as soon as I got in the car.

Not all of them made it to my house lol

Dreaming of cooking with some fresh veggies.
Just picked fresh
You can't beat it

And around these parts there is something about the soil that makes the tomatoes famous

Dighton tomatoes are the best
And you can tell by the taste

Oh man.....i love my baby brother

Bib central

Once these are cut I can sew like the wind
Um yeah
Can the wind sew???
Anywho they work up speedy
Or at least by doing assembly line when they are done at once, it seems speedy

See i trick my mind
All the time! Lol
4 done

A cute floral for May flowers

June bear frolicking in daisies and blooms

 How adorable is that?

Of course Dec needs candycanes.
When I used to let the kids and nieces decorate the tree we would have the Christmas music blasting.....drove hubs nuts!
I would put up the tree and lights and let the kids have at it.  They loved it. Their parents had a day to Christmas shop
I was in Heaven with the kiddos.....candycanes and gingerbread houses were decorated and sometimes even crafty quick gifts were made so they could wrap and give them. Fun fun memories.

My tinkering around for a Thanksgiving turkey bib
The body is a prototype for a pattern not the actual fabric but it is looking kinda like i want.
Found a piece of sunflower fabric for my nieces set of bibs.....she loooooooves sunflowers

I think i may be having too much fun
Ha ha

If you can think of ideas for Jan bib, Apr bib, Aug bib, Sept bib let me know in the comments.
Trying to find appropriate fabrics and ideas for those.

Then i get to do 12 more for niece's set.
Fun fun i love it!

This is Halloween and I only had a little strip so pieced it. My favorite one so far!

They are reversible the way they are made
This is the back

Love sewing for babies.
Sew sew fun.

Whats going on in your sewing room and do you have any ideas for the bib sets?

Secret sewing

I did a little secret sewing this weekend
Grabbed some tiny ufo blocks
5 of them
Matched up an old fashiony print
Sewed them into a block
Backed in same fabric
Quilted it like crazy
Found scrappy binding that would go
And voila
An oversize mugrug
For my friend Jacky
Yeah.....
Jacky no blog now gotta blog friend
Just because......

Since i was on a roll.....i grabbed a pretty floral scrap and a black scrap. They looked good together
So made another......in a different size

See the quilting on the first one? About every half inch apart. Hey i know i am crazy....but it was 3 am and what else am i gonna do?
Vacuum??? Lol

This one i used my standard wavy lines

Love the floral

Have to tell ya
Excess zuchinni is a good thing
Or friends with zuchinni gardens

This was the other nights dinner
On the grill
A few minutes prep
And 20 on the grill were perfect

I took 2 zuchinni
Sliced in half the long way into boats
Scooped out the center
Saved some of it and chopped it small

Then browned hamburg, onion, the inside chopped squash, diced tomato i used fresh cherry tomatoes
I added fresh basil, fresh thyme
Garlic powder,celery seed, cracked pepper,
And cooked till meat was done and all flavors melded. Added a touch of ketchup
Taste tested.....then put my zuchinni boats on a pam sprayed foil
Stuffed them each with the mixture
Topped with shredded cheese
Folded the foil up in a packet
Placed it on a hot grill

And 20 min later dinner was done
And delish
And low carb
And healthy
And did i say it was SOOOOOOOOO good
Love freshness of summer veggies

This farmgirl is spoiled for sure

Trying to enjoy outdoors

It is so hot and humid

I am trying to enjoy the outdoors but it isnt possible

With temps this high and humidity even after sunset its just too uncomfortable.
Is it too much to ask to watch the birdies while stitching for a bit in here?
Maybe......
I will stay in with this guy and be thankful i am comfortable in the ac
