I found these at my dollar store while looking for gift bags

Will make envelope back and put in gift box

Who doesn't love a nice fall pillow

And our family has tons of fall birthdays

How fun are these prints

The pattern I use calls for a 24 inch body, a 2 inch accent and a 12 inch cuff.

So for a yard of fab I get one body and one cuff

So far I made 4 and have 4 more cut and ready to sew

Cute stocking stuffer gift

Or basket night before Christmas theme

New pjs, pillowcase, book, cookie mix or gingerbread house kit

Seeing double

I bought another Minnie for my great granddaughter

How cute are they together 

She is 2 and I think th I s will be a big hit

Another one checked off the list 

 

Some Christmas sewing

I started trimming and sewing some pillowcases

I am loving them

Up early what to do what to do

I can't sleep

Got the flu shot Thurs

Have been sick since Friday

Feel a little better but not 100 percent yet

Yesterday the fresh air felt good

So this morning got some caramel coffee going in a holiday mug to lift my spirits

My list I think is pared down and almost finished for this year

I have a few things to do still but it's early 

My great nephew likes gift cards

He is 11

But EVERYONE gets that for him

Sooooo 

I went to dollar store and bought a small tree

And will make him a money tree

He can still spend his He likes 

And it will be different

His sister is getting Minnie and his parents a nice sherpa blanket

My special neighbor is getting 12 days of christmas and a stocking

I just need 2 things for the 12 days and to wrap about 5 days of the 12

This morning I grabbed holiday fabs out of stash and cut out about 7 pillowcase sets

Tonight will iron and trim and pin and sew

They should go fast after pinning

They will go in the stockings 

This busywork for the holidays is helping me to stay positive

And focused

I just need to cancel Christmas dinner with 2 other neighbors

I don't feel up to it

Veggie soup for dinner and sew sew sew

Love days like this

 

Getting Christmas spirit

I know it's early

I need to work at getting the Christmas spirit

Funny story

My friend did an errand for me to grab Minnie before she was gone

The store wasn't ready for the sale and called her when Minnie was available at the front desk

My friend sent her hubs to pick her up

No bag or box so picture a cute short man in his 70s walking out of the store with Minnie is his arms

Then buckled in next to him in the car

My friend was cracking up and said to me thanks for the laugh as they never had children so no kids to buy for

How beautiful is this Minnie

I think my great niece will approve don't you?

Christmas is starting to take shape here

Even if it's early

 

Angels

Isn't this dough ornament pretty?

I want to duplicate it if I can

And dip it in wax to seal it

My steps are almost done

Tonight buying paint so tomorrow I can paint them

Lots going on in my life right now

Some things I can talk about  some I can't

But I know God will get me through

Christmas this year will be very pared down

No gifts except family as money is real tight as it is for everyone

This world gets crazier each day

Saying prayers for all my friends and hoping they pray for me too

Quilting is taking a short break for now

Don't worry

I will be back

Not depressed or anything like that

Just trying to keep my head above water

And making changes in my life

Out with negative things and people 

In with God and positivity 

I am a work in progress

My new friends are angels among us and I thank God every day for their uplifting compassionate loving ways

My only regret is it took 9 years here to know them
